– Exactly 20 years and 1 week.
– When a customer places an order for doors, it is up to me to time the planning and production for the order. I also calculate the required materials and ask our acquisitions department to make the necessary purchases. This job takes knowledge of materials, there are endless variations of for example PVC coated sheet metals, laminates, and paints. I also operate at the customer interface. This means receiving possible reclamations and such.

– I think success means having a project run through according to plans without materials deficits or complaints. In this business as in many others, absence of feedback means a job well done. Memorable successes along my long career are the cabin doors we made for the Color Fantasy car ferry, which made an impression with their pearly colour and stylish door threshold plates.
– The best thing about Antti is that it is a sufficiently big family business. Sufficient resources create a sense of independence. The family aspect means commitment and the flexibility to react quickly. Antti embodies a straightforward sense of getting things done, everything happens efficiently here.
– It means that the supplied doors meet the customer’s requirements and ship in time. It is also important to produce doors in a cost-effective manner, which is in the customer’s interest too.
– Antti’s operations show that we have a lot of experience in ship doors. We have manufactured almost half a million doors. For Antti, it is a matter of honour to ship orders according to schedule. If problems do emerge, Antti will take responsibility for their mistakes.
– We have a summer place in Sastamala. Old cars are also close to my heart. In my free time, I drive around in a 1968 Ford Mustang HT with an engine that I replaced myself.
– After 36 years in the metal industry, it is difficult to do anything different. Before Antti, I was making hospital beds and operating tables. I have also taught metalworks for one year.
